Mr. Carmine Caputo, PhD student of Università degli Studi “Tor Vergata” in Rome and Mrs. Gaia Martoriello, PhD student of Università degli Studi “Federico II” in Naples, on behalf of all INNOVARE Project team working (EPM, CRAVEB, CNR-IM and CMD) have been involved in the last EUBCE, the European Biomass Conference and Exhibition held in Lisbon last week.
Through a “poster presentation”, they have discussed a research project aim of which is to improve the performances of a CHP system powered by biomass currently produced and distributed by CMD, the CMD ECO20. The ECO20 implements a sustainable connection between biomass and energy.
The project, thus, is a concrete solution both for wooden scraps disposal produced by forestry maintenance and fire preventive measures, and for obtaining energy value from local agro industrial waste materials, with a focus on exhausted pomace, also thanks to an ECO20’s operational demonstration in Laurino -SA- (Cilento e Vallo di Diano National Park).
