Our Avio team is proud publishing and sharing with you the APPROVAL CERTIFICATE by EASA which certifies that DOA (Design Organisation Approval) was obtained in December.
CMD is officially the only one Italian DOA company (and among the top 6 in Europe) that designs and develops piston engines, diesel and gasoline, for aeronautical use.
We wish to remind you DOA offers to CMD some advantages that provide greater independence respect to the control exercised by the EASA on the certified engines and their development.
The advantages include the possibility of approving all engine modifications (with minor importance) to the project on their own and independently conducting all qualification and certification tests for these changes, independently of the Agency.
